I don't think they kissed, since when looking at how they were standing before and after the light disppeared was not so believable. Though, it isn't the first time they have sped up some scenes. Just look at the first episode in Book 2. Iroh was laying on a bench, then the picture changed to Zuko sitting a bit away from him. After a few seconds, he's walking to the same place and sat down. In reality, no one would be able to do that in that period of time which was between those times.
