 I'm currently reading the book "The Kiterunner" and I'm only about 2/3 of the way done with it. Its so depressing.. and heartwrenching.. ugh! *goes to cry more* The movie for the book is out now in theaters... I don't know how anyone could possibly not cry. Its bad enough reading it but seeing it outside of your imagination? *crys more* Really good book though, and my sister says that it ends happy.. so I'm making my way through it tears and all. My english teacher saw me reading it and warned me that I would cry, and lookie here I am crying. Anyone else know any books that made you cry? EDIT: And this marks my 200th post! Ah the bittersweet irony..

Let's see.
HP7 made me cry...a lot...So did HP6
Certain parts of Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer made me cry... but that's really a matter of opinion.
The End by Lemony Snicket was pretty sad. I was sobbing when Kit died D:

Hmm...i cried in HP7 during the princes tale chapter.
I don't cry that much when i read...no matter how sad it is.

I never cried during the Twilight series (AMAZING BOOKS THOUGH YOU HAVE TO READ THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T) but I was close to tears in HP7 when I knew Harry had to die. I don't cry with books though. My sis (FourNations) called me heartless, but I'm still sad, so it counts right?

Did cry any in the Twilight series, though if one of the characters (the good ones anyway) die I know I'll cry. *remembers* I also cried at the end of the Cirque Du Freak series... as well as the end of the 5th Artemis Fowl book. I cry sooo easy ;( EDITL I finished The Kiterunner.. I cried more. lol Big surprise there... |

I cried throughout Cirque Du Freak, because my sister read it before me. She kept telling who was going to die in every book. Same thing with Harry Potter, except it was me telling her.  I also read Manga, so I'm going to list off very depressing things that you don't know about! Basara, Full Metal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun Maximum, Soul Rescue, Yami no Matsuei, A Bat in Blue Sky, Ai-Ren, Battle Royale, Death Note, Fushigi Yuugi, Gravitation, Princess Mimia, Stray Dog, Trigun, and Elfen Lied all made me cry somewhere in their ink filled pages. I also watch Anime, so I'm going to list off very depressing things that you don't know about! Death Note, Trigun, Elfen Lied, Loveless, Sukisho, Blue Gender, Figure 17, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Fullmetal Alchemist, Grave of the Fireflies, Interstella5555 - The 5tory of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, Neon Genesis Evangelion - The End of Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, Spirited Away, Witch Hunter Robin, and Wolf's Rain all made me cry somewhere in their cancer inducing effects. |
