So far all we know about Katara and Sokka's mother is what she looks like from behind (The Swamp) and that Sokka doesn't remember what she looks like (The Runaway)... So do you think we'll learn any more about her?
Oh, and could her death have any part of the third new villian that is going to show up in these last few episodes?

You and Zaggy-kun have very good observations, very good uses of inferences too. There is little possibility of Avatar having that giant of a plot twist.

Hmmm.. I was hoping the new villian was going to be the one who killed thier mom. But if we don't get anymore in depth with her story I hope we at least get her name. I'm getting frustrated with calling her NMOSAK

I think she is. Cause they took Katara's mother away from her. (FN took only Waterbenders)

Then... was Gran Gran a waterbender? or was it...Pakku was supposed to marry Gran Gran, but they didn't have children.. right.......? I am so confused now :S

The third villian was sparky spark boom man and he dies in 312! In the All Avatar Nick Magazine, there was an article saying that their will be thre new villains. I'll quote it here: "'We will meet a new villain called the Combustion Man, with a dangerous new power,' Aaron promises. "He has an unusual tattoo on his forehead.' Uh-oh. Viewers can also look forward to a villain from the water tribe, and another from the distant past-with a disturbing connection to Sokka and Katara."So we already got two of the villains-combustion man and hama. So now we need the villain with a disturbing connection to Sokka and Katara. That's why I threw out the idea that it could be their mother's killer. It has been said in an interview with the creators that neither of Katara's parents are waterbenders as well as the fact that bending is not genetic. Gran-Gran cann't waterbend otherwise she would have been taken prisoner like Hama when the raids happened. |
